Gone (temporarily, I hope!) but DEFINITELY not forgotten!
Quinn and Rose are off the air, but they WILL be back! Meanwhile, our friendly group of dedicated FReeper Q&R fans will meet in our usual spot - same time, same station - as we always have!
So grab your coffee - or whatever you choose to start your day - and drop in for some political chit-chat, or just to shoot the breeze!
Message from Quinn and Rose, for those of you who missed it:
The Quinn and Rose show has been on the air for 18 years with great success. Ten of those years were at 104.7. We love doing our show.
We want our listeners to know how much we have enjoyed bringing you the news every morning. We feel like we are all part of one big family. Your loyalty and support over the years has meant so much to us and we think you know that.
Please know that we appreciate each and every one of you. A morning without you is like a morning without coffee. And we HATE a morning without coffee!! You have always meant so much to us. We cannot find words adequate to express to you just how much.
As we have new information, we will keep you posted at www.warroom.com on the front page. Be sure to check in there periodically for updates.
Our commitment has been, and will always be, to conservative values and to this great country of ours.

I am surprised there isn’t more celebrating from the local, looney left about Q&R. Basically it’s been very quiet.
Did you turn on WPGB to see who is on? That Bloomdaddy is nothing I want to hear.
Meanwhile, I just heard that conservative protesters are converging on the White House to demand Obama’s resignation!
Not gonna happen, unfortunately.

WHAT HAPPENED??? I listened to Quinn and Rose every day for years until I lost my hearing. ...and I missed Quinn like crazy when I couldn’t understand him anymore. Same with Rush. Can’t do radio in captions.
But what happened with Quinn and Rose?
I’m going to listen to Levin in the morning on the web as there are other alternatives to his show at 6:00 p.m.
Bombdaddy can yack all the sports he wants, not in my house.
They couldn’t reach a contract agreement is the official line.
Rose is a good buddy of Hannity. Hopefully there’s a syndication deal in the works. It worked for Mark Levin. Keep your fingers crossed.
This is a link to one of the local radio/tv discussion boards. A thread about Q&R is just starting. About the only good thing about it is the picture at the top of the page. It changes often and is usually a keeper.
A lot of radio and tv people post to it so it sometimes has decent breaking info.
Yeah but Hannity is Clear Channel ...hmmm....thinking...not sure if CC would put thm on another station but stranger things HAVE happened.
Have to think about this more.
I am listening to WMAL in DC. It’s ok, but the hosts are bland. Levin sounds like a good alternative. I usually download his podcasts to listen to at work.

Michal Berry (KTRH in Houston) is good, but he’s in a later time zone. He’ s REALLY outspoken!
The thing about Q&R is that they were almost always ahead of the other talkers. Sure they covered the previous day’s stuff from Rush and Hannity and others but being on in the morning gave listeners a chance to catch up then break new ground.
Really I can’t think of another morning show like it.

Yes, they are one-of-a-kind. Conservatives who never heard them don’t understand how important they are. I feel as if their absence is a huge blow to conservatism and to freedom.
Well, they say God closes a door but opens a window. Q&R may go on to better things. For his age, Quinn still has a strong voice and a sharp mind. He still has a lot to give.
I’m going to listen to KZRG in Joplin, they have almost the same line up as WPGB without tuning into WPGB.

Day 2 of The Quinn&Roseless Abyss.
I posted on one of the threads late last night that I really, really DO think this was NOT contract as much as program content related.
Last week Q mentioned being placed on “hold” and NOT getting his requested call back from the CC health ins carrier. Why would he have been signing up if he was in negotiations. Wouldn’t benefits (like health ins) be part of on going negotiations? Rose was already promoting her next Conservative Tours trip to Italy...would you plan that if NOT sure you would have an audience to sell it too?
I think as they are/were in a smaller market that the FCC thugs that monitor their show (I’m sure they have “listeners” for all RW talk) reported in “something” (Qs recent forays into the BC? even discussing the Content Doctrine of the FCC) and pressure was put on CC to take down the show. Start w/a Q&R and then the build up to a Hannity, Beck or Limbaugh gets easy.
Just my two cents n’@.
