Gov. Chris Christie is pledging to stump in Republican governor’s races in at least seven states and direct money to competitive races as he assumes the chairmanship of the Republican Governors Association later in the week.

The governor will take the helm of the RGA officially Thursday. He said he will stump in Texas, South Carolina, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Florida, Michigan and Arkansas to support Republican candidates next year, when there are 36 governors’ races.

“My job is to be supportive of those 36 races, to make the strategic choices about where we should invest the most money to yield the greatest success,” Mr. Christie said.

He’s halfway to his weight loss goal..

We’ll see if he has as much success as the NRSC the last cycle.

I wonder if he knows the TEA Party backed winners last go around, his side lost dang near everything in sight.

And funneling donors dollars to Karl Rove’s advertising buying firms who get 15% “commissions” from the TV and Radio stations.

Yeah, which means he’ll support incumbent governors who might assist him in getting the 2016 nomination and work to defeat those who may be potential rivals of may present obstacles.

In other words, he won’t help conservatives like Cuccinelli and will overwhelmingly support moderate or go-along types like former governor Romney.

Advertising commission kickbacks to GOP-e crony consultants and advertising firms. Lining their own pockets while squandering their donors money with advertising on liberal media TV and radio station.

It is odd that I used to have a good opinion of Rove, back before I figured out the RNCe and the GOPe haven’t been on our side for at least a generation.

Wouldn’t be surprised to see Christie disinvited to SC, TX and AR, he won’t play well there.

The ‘Golden Child’ sure has tarnished. Maybe he should have stayed in Texas.

He sure didn’t help the rest of us here in New Jersey — landslide victory for Christie, the state Senate and Assembly races were a wash. It think there is one politician he’s really interested in doing things for — Chris Christie.

My money is sent directly to the candidates that I approve of. The RNC AND GOP es can go pound sand.

The question is:

Will he be out trashing and actively attacking the more conservative end of the spectrum?
