Mitch McConnell offered a one-liner after Harry Reid’s decision to launch the nuclear option that jabbed at both Reid’s reversal on the issue as well as the controversy surrounding Obamacare. “He may just as well have said if you like the rules of the Senate, you can keep them!” he gibed, to laughter from the audience.
He pointed to Reid’s comments from just a few months ago, in which he stated that he would not bring forward the nuclear option in regard to President Obama’s nominees for the D.C. Circuit, saying the reversal reflects the Democrats’ recent reputation for making misleading promises.
The minority leader accused Senate Democrats of “cooking up some fake fight” with the filibuster issue to distract from the array of problems facing the health-care law. “I’d want to be talking about something else too if I had to defend dogs getting insurance while millions of Americans lost theirs,” McConnell said in reference to a report that a man seeking coverage on the health-care exchanges was informed that his dog had been successfully enrolled.

What Reid and his fellow Demon Rats, at the behest of Obamaugabe, did to the comity of the Senate is detestable.
The bad news? You can forget about Matt Bevin. This move by Reid will virtually assure McConnell will win his primary.
Hannity just played a montage of Democrats’ comments when Republicans threatened to invoke the Nuclear Option. Some of them were amazing, especially Hillary Clinton and John Kerry. Clinton’s remarks were the complete opposite to Obama today. She stated that the Senate was MEANT to be a place where debates were held and things go slow.
And I thought that rules changes had to occur at the beginning of a new session.....

Why do you think this? It’s McConnell’s continual ceding of power to Reid that emboldened him.
Where are McCain, Graham, and the gang of fourteen?

And although BO's agency heads will be removed should, allah forbid it, the pubbies take the WH in 2016, they will have had 3 years to bring in so many fellow libturds that a new administration will not be able to clean them all out.

I think it will harm mcbribetaker more than you think. It is HIS fault that it happened. harry reid would have been in front of every camera and preaching doom and gloom for months before this would have happened. mitch is no leader and it shows with every butt whuppin’ he takes... and this kicked his arse bigtime.
I am sure he is 'shocked' his good friends on the other side of the aisle would do such a thing!

The Senate republicans should just get out of Washington, go home and campaign, campaign, and campaign some more.
The only reason to come back is to vote on a Supreme Court justice nominee. They can’t stop the democrats from passing whatever they want.
The republican House should not even take up any bill coming from the senate.
