FIFTY years ago this week President John Kennedy was assassinated by Lee Harvey Oswald, a Castro-supporting communist who had learned to shoot straight while in the US Marines. Half a century later, 61% of Americans believe in a conspiracy. Amazingly, this is the lowest level since the late 1960s.

There also was not a herd of pink elephants walking in the Reflecting Pool in DC, but I can't prove there wasn't. See the point?

I agree. The first time I saw the Zapruder Film it was being presented by the comedian and political activist Dick Gregory who was making the college circuit with the film. When I saw the “head shot” for the first time I thought WTF.
Five words from Jim Garrison also make me believe the head shot was a frontal shot: “Back and to the left.” ...”Back and to the left.”
Shall I believe the Warren Commission Report and the “Oswald Was The Lone Gunman” finding or the Zapruder Film and my lying eyes?
If Oswald was, in fact, the only shooter, then I believe he was a hired hit man for someone else or some group.
I am pretty boring because that's what I believe. I don't believe all that other stuff.
The fact that he became president upon the death of JFK may have motivated his thinking. And anyone who knew LBJ knew him to me a mean, ruthless man.

It's a stretch...and probably gives the KGB more credit than they're due. But, yes, I see your point.
The KGB and the Soviets thought long-term. They were at the point of infiltrating the Democrat party -- and within five years would mount a protest outside the convention hall and another four years later would be in the hall, running the convention.
Moreover, the Camelot re-direction -- purportedly originated by Jackie -- which subsequently led to the left blaming the American right for the assassination (instead of "the little Communist punk") could pass for an elegant KGB disinformation scheme.
I'm still skeptical...but less skeptical than before.
And besides the MSM, how many books about the assassination have you read. Relying on one source naturally prejudices the mind.
Expand your horizons, read more that one source and then post your opinion.
There are over 3800 books about the JFK assassination, pick a few then jump back in.
Go buy a gun.
Learn to shoot.
Kill something.
At that point you will know that Oswald did nothing but play the distraction.
