It WAS a scandal, and it got a lot more coverage (including on the evening news) than this one. That ought to make you wonder why the national press is ignoring this story.
And this is actually worse. Clinton either didn't know or didn't care that Air Force One on the ground would cause the airport to close; his $300 haircut was more important. That's selfishness and it was indicative of his narcissism.
But if this story is true, it's a case of a guy ordering the closure deliberately and screwing over tens of thousands of working folks just to f*** with a rival. Screw the people and get your revenge. Such a man should not command our armed forces.
