Gay Rights Mag Names Pope Francis 'Person of the Year' Despite Same-Sex Marriage Stance
Breitbart ^ | 17 Dec 13 | Dr. Susan Berry

Posted on 12/17/2013 6:17:43 AM PST by SkyPilot

A leading lifestyle magazine that promotes gay rights and same-sex marriage has named Pope Francis its “Person of the Year.”

The December issue of The Advocate features Pope Francis with a “NO H8” message photoshopped on his right cheek. Next to his photo is a quote from the pope’s interview with reporters in July, while en route from Brazil to Rome.

“If someone is gay and seeks the Lord with good will, who am I to judge?” the pontiff told reporters.

Pope Francis, who opposes same-sex marriage and vehemently fought its passage while he was archbishop of Buenos Aires, was chosen as The Advocate’s “Person of the Year” over Edie Windsor, of U.S. v. Windsor, the Supreme Court’s DOMA case, whom the magazine refers to as “a hero to LGBT Americans for taking the final punch in the fight against the discriminatory Defense of Marriage Act…”

He’s right, sinners sought out Jesus and they were changed once they met Him. It’s called repentance. When you repent, you turn from the life of sin you have been leading and live a life pleasing to God. The Gays forgot about the repentance. Maybe the pope forgot about the repentance. And, if the pope is changing the rules from the bible, that would make him a false teacher. So many issues with this magazine cover story

More propaganda from the commie left. Jack Cashell has it right. See his interview on his new book about George Zimmerman and how since the 20s the commie left have been using propaganda to create discord among the masses. I believe it is in the book series on CSpan.

Seems like the communion rails are wide open anyway. No questions asked.

This is ramped up psy-ops intended not to agree with the pope, but to demoralize any defenders of biblical morality.

I am seriously thinking that this pope needs to get a teleprompter. And quickly. The Popeprompter. It seems that every time he opens his mouth and speaks he says things that need to be clarified later.

Maybe he's speaking his true feelings?

re: Maybe he's speaking his true feelings?

I agree with you there. I think he is speaking his true feelings. Just like Obama does when he goes off teleprompter. The problem with the pope is that he has been saying a lot lately that departs from the Church's teachings. I get the feeling that this pope is both naive and possibly less educated in Church teaching and history. Thus he says things that have a “feel good” sound to them but contradict Church and Biblical teachings.

Whether he means what he says or not, it is foolish and unwise to give such ambiguous responses to unambiguous doctrines that the Left will certainly take and twist to their own advantage.

What I'm saying is that this pope is either utterly stupid, or is a Leftist plant.

Wrong.

Read this to understand the disinformation situation.

You are the Pope that is who. Your answer should reflect the Word.
Is repentance of the sin no longer required?

Maybe the pope forgot about the repentance.

One thing I've seen over the years is that the Catholic Church is like the DNC. They put out multiple messages to make it appear to everyone that the church is on their side. If one of the messages doesn't fly, they refer to the next message.

The only side you want to be on is God’s side... and Leviticus 18:22 hasn’t been erased from scripture has it?

Or is it too controversial to quote it in this world?

I can tell you this, you wouldn’t be getting your mug on magazines in glory by stating that scripture..well, maybe if it was with a bullseye ...

No, they sense "Confusion is mightier than the sword."

The sodomite crowd lies. Sodomy, Murder, and Lying are always found together.
