“And how we burned in the camps later, thinking: What would things have been like if every Security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family? Or if, during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat there in their lairs, paling with terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand?... The Organs would very quickly have suffered a shortage of officers and transport and, notwithstanding all of Stalin's thirst, the cursed machine would have ground to a halt! If...if...We didn't love freedom enough. And even more – we had no awareness of the real situation.... We purely and simply deserved everything that happened afterward.”

One America that wants to be like “Leave it to Beaver” and another America that wants to open Gulags for its dissidents.

Tell you what.....let’s draw a line down the center of this country. Put all of your homofiliacs on one side, and all the God-loving Phil supporters on the other, and we’ll see which one survives and prospers longer.

We could call it something weird like the “Mason-Dixon” line or some such.

Josh Barro would probably agree I’m a member of the “worse” America, but I can honestly say I have never, ever heard any member of my America say that homosexuals are “full of murder, envy, strife, hatred. They are insolent, arrogant, God-haters. They are heartless, they are faithless, they are senseless, they are ruthless. They invent ways of doing evil.”

The only descriptor that would likely fit all unrepentant homosexuals is “God-haters.” Why? Because anyone who loves God obeys God’s commandments, and homosexual acts are clearly against God’s commandments. Homosexuals can be nice people and reasonably moral (from man’s perspective) just like other sinners. For example, I know some very nice drunks, but drunkenness is a still a sin.

In regards to sin, who loves homosexuals more? A Christian who stands for the truth so that a homosexual might hear it, turn from sin, and be saved, or a “friend” who encourages the homosexual to continue sinning which leads to spiritual death and damnation? Even if the latter doesn’t believe in sin, shouldn’t they at least understand that the former speaks of sin out of a similar desire to help homosexuals. Not only that, but if the former is right, unrepentant homosexuals really will burn in Hell.

No one who believes in Hell and loves their neighbor would stand by and do nothing while that neighbor walks into destruction.

I feel real sorrow for homosexuals. They know real fear, the hysterically paralyzing kind of fear towards members of the opposite sex, that few of us will ever understand.

My nephew’s other auntie, his father’s sister, was a lesbian. She fell in love with a co-worker, a man, and left the lesbian life behind.( As a small child she was the victim of a vicious gang rape and left for dead. To say she was afraid of men would have been an understatement.)

Of the male homosexuals I have met, very few were happy or content. Most claimed it was because of the way they were treated by their families, but I think that is not the actual cause.

Like my relative above, male homosexuals are afraid of the opposite sex. It is a profoundly, deeply felt hysterical fear that psychiatrists of the past 150 years have described as one that is nearly impossible to treat. The patient must truly want to overcome it.

The changeover rate for lesbians is far higher than for male homosexuals. For guys there seems to be a greater concern over being controlled and dominated by a woman.

People are real tired of gays, Muslims, and all the other PC crap Hollyweird pushes on them.

When the (almost inevitable) homosexual pops up in the show, we tune out--permanently. We don't watch a lot of TV any more, but Duck Dynasty was one of the shows. We enjoyed the clean fun, but most of all that the family was led in prayer at the end of each show over dinner by Phil. That was refreshing.

A&E, however has defecated in its dinner pail. I will watch no more.

Anyone who only has a Heaven to offer that is naught but a bare fire escape, is going to come across as a self centered spiritual terrorist. I hate to put it that way but it’s true.

Once you see how sins are actually sucking the life of your neighbor down, and you have the capacity of grace to address the deficiency, NOW you are gospel bait and can go fishing. Not until!

I think the worldly shrinks have tried as hard as they could to solve the problem by worldly means. The world knows negatives (fear) and not positives (hope). Hope comes, as it were, as an accident.

What they don’t have in their arsenal is the spiritual. God gives hope, which is the antidote to fear. God can teach that wimp how to be a real man, and do it all through purposed hope. The world needs to know this.

And, as regards to hope. The “gay” tryst is a false hope that acts through illusion. One partner loads up off of the temporary stimulation of the other one. Not only does this fail terribly, it results in horrible enslaving idolatrous obsessions.

God gives true manly hope. God is omnipresent and omnipotent, something that these partners aren’t. God really can beef up the scrawny soul. Some people through excessive delicacy don’t want to think of God as being willing to get “down and dirty” through the sexual. God hoots at that idea... He created it and He knows how to get it to operate!

As a corollary most male sex sinners who recover in that manner will end up MORE manly... not less... than their worldly brethren. As C. S. Lewis so notably put it: “They learned their driving in a hard school.” I sometimes wonder if Lewis himself had suffered, and overcome, in that fashion, during an era when it would have been unthinkable to talk about it.

Who came up with the rule that a viewpoint is supposed to be respected just because the holder declares it to be a religious one?
