From those that should be “giving back” to their communities.

A record 163 tons of fresh fruit and vegetables grown by Missouri prisoners was donated to local food pantries, shelters, churches, nursing homes and schools this year, shattering last year’s record of 117 tons.

And Memphis Penal Farm stopped growing their own food a decade or more ago, and the extra going to food pantries, because the grocery store owners wanted the profit. And it was CRUEL to make prisoners WORK!
