Well, it did say “quietly accepting”. That could be interpreted as “Well, I can’t stop him from doing it, so I just love him and don’t bother arguing with him about this any more.”
Arg. I don’t see it that way...if I substitute other things in there and imagine being quietly accepting, it doesn’t fit at best, and at worst, sounds horrendous.
If it had said he was quietly accepting of his son’s homosexuality, I can understand that.
I cannot understand hearing that your offspring is a prostitute, and accepting that. It doesn’t mean you don’t love and care for your child...as a matter of fact, if you don’t accept it, it likely means you care more.
