Serious alcoholic too if the stories about him barely being able to stumble his way home from Murphys are true.
But Alexandria loves him. I once got kicked out of the Irish store in the “Irish Walk” by Pat Troys for speaking ill of him. Saw him walk by on King St and made a comment to my wife (not too loud, but definitely enough to be heard by others) about how amazed I was that he’d managed to pry himself off his barstool at Murphys in a condition where he could actually walk, then wondered whether he was on his way to beat up a kid or his ex-wife.
I suspect if you had said it in Pat Troy’s you wouldn’t have had to buy a drink the rest of the night...maybe.
