I raised my right hand in 1983, a time when military service was honored. I’m a life long Republican. Today I’ve decided to switch my voter registration to independent. Disgusted with Republicrats.
I remember the movie “Braveheart” and the scene in which William Wallace comes face to face with the betrayal of Robert the Bruce. I realize it’s just fiction, but that betrayal in the midst of battle shook Wallace. He thought Bruce to be a friend.
Those are the worst betrayals.
The GOP has turned against the military, and they have refused to listen.
