The SCOTUS argument is bogus when you look at the reality on the ground. Most of the major outrages of the Supreme Court since the prayer decision of the early 1960’s had Republican appointed Justices involved in negating parts of the Constitution. Examples of Republican appointees trashing the Constitution:

Earl Warren, 1963 ruling to ban prayer in the public schools

Harry Blackmun 1973 Roe v Wade ruling on the abortion issue

Anthony Kennedy 1986 homosexual rights decision

Sandra Day O’Connor 1989 decision refusing to overturn Roe v Wade

David Souter 1992 Abortion Right decision

John Paul Stevens 2005 Takings clause decision undermining property rights

John Roberts outrageous 2012 Obamacare decision

There are many other examples of Republican appointees undermining the Constitution but the above will suffice in making the point that Republican appointees are helping in the destruction of the Republic.

How justices voted in the past is just a reason to not worry about how the appointees of this president may tend to vote?

So you believe that in effect, the right should not vote for presidents and their appointees will possibly vote in the future?

That is a surrender your principles now cause there was bad decisions in the past. Just how do you make choices if it is not on principles and beliefs?

Very sad for voters like that.
