As you can see, it's the State of Kansas that filed suit to recover $6,000 in public assistance they already paid to the lesbian mom and her baby, plus they intend to collect child support from this sperm-vendor in the future.

I say, Good.

Kansas Judge pointed out that it;'s not about the adults' interests, it's a about the baby's rights: rigfhts which the adults cannot possibly "contract away."

The only shortcoming here, is that the BabyDaddy would have been allowed to contract away his responsibilities, and the baby's rights, if he had done his squirtin' and begettin' via a licensed physician. I personally don't see how a physician's involvement would abrogate the baby's right, when the baby didn't consent to relinquish his moral and legal claim on his natural father's providence and support.

the problem is they should have done an adoption but no, people want to do everything without “the unnecessary expense of a lawyer”

so now he gets the expense of child support

still, I can only see benefits for the child here, because now there will be a dad in this child’s life as opposed to just two moms who obviously can’t afford a child

He said he signed a contract waiving his parental rights and responsibilities.

Well, wasn't that clever. Hey, pal, was the STATE a party to that contract?

Yeah he is a dope. A Court has to accept that waiver and terminate the rights, you don’t just get to waive them and it’s over.

But no, we don’t need a lawyer for that............sarc/

Unless it's an abortion, then the "rights" don't matter. Right judge?

He’s not a father. He’s a genetic donor. His only function from here on will be as an animated ATM.

My only problem is...how much is the state gonna spend on lawyers just to recover $6,000?

Is this some sort of important precedent?

Every father has the age old duty to explain to his son that he will always be held accountable for where his sperm ends up and how it got there.

Evidently he has progressed to the point that he sees nothing wrong with the gay lesbian lifestyle and was doing his part to further it.....it appears he will have the opportunity to express his support the next 18 years!!!

I guess we can say with a snicker that this “gentleman”’s sympathy for organized gaydom cost him more than he ever intended to contribute.

I wonder what would happen if the lesbian couple were “married”, and Kansas recognized the marriage?

Could the sperm donor then argue that the child had two parents and therefore support from him was not necessary?

Hypothetical only, since Kansas does not recognize gay marriages.

Hmmmm ... Gentlemen, some lessons here:

1) Don't spank the monkey and then give the results to a couple of dykes. You're still on the hook ...

2) Don't bump-n-grind with anyone other than your wife. Not even one of a couple of dykes. You're still on the hook ...

Next time, maybe this guy will think twice about dipping his toes in the cauldron of debauchery that is the homo community.
