House Republicans to Offer Broad Immigration Plan
NY Times ^ | 1/25/14 | ASHLEY PARKER and JONATHAN WEISMAN

House Republicans are preparing to unveil their own broad template for overhauling the nation’s immigration system this week, potentially offering a small opening for President Obama and congressional Democrats to pass bipartisan legislation before the end of the year.

Speaker John A. Boehner of Ohio and other Republican leaders are expected to release a one-page statement of immigration principles this week at their annual retreat in Cambridge, Md., according to aides with knowledge of the plan. The document is expected to call for border security and enforcement measures, as well as providing a path to legal status — but not citizenship — for many of the 11 million undocumented immigrants in the country, the aides said.

The Republican effort comes as Mr. Obama is expected to push once again for an overhaul of the immigration system in his State of the Union address Tuesday, and as lawmakers from both parties describe immigration as one of the few potential areas for bipartisan compromise before the end of the current Congress.

We all knew this was coming.

The gop could choose between conservatives and illegals. We see their choice.

If there’s a conservative third party candidate on the ballot, I will vote. If not, I stay home.

If you do that I will have to put up with president Hillary Rodham. But wait, you will too, because 3rd party has less chance to win White House than snowing in July in Miami.

I saw Rand Paul on a Sunday show this morning, he said the Republicans (like him) agree with Dems on half the immigration issues and that they should work together to pass those.

1) He’s obviously planning a 2016 run.
2) He copped out and didn’t say which half they agree on.

I can find illegals without a problem. Put a bounty of $50/head on 'em and I'll give you all you want.

The illegals can be found. There isn't the will to find them or deport them.

All these brilliant minds, and their fix to all this is coming up with more laws, when we know by what has taken place already, that these people won’t follow our laws.

Imagine if we had bank robbing laws, and our banks were being robbed every day, and our response was to grant the robbers amnesty under a new set of laws. Why would we think they would follow the news laws, any more than the illegal immigrants will?

So now every time I break a law, I’m going to demand retroactive amnesty, and a new set of better laws.

It works for non-citizens. Why not me?

Rather, tell them loudly and clearly, “Go to Hell”.

You always were too nice, Norm. I've got stronger words for them. ;)

You would be surprised how many uninformed voters oppose amnesty but still vote for candidates backing amnesty. They are none to bright in the USA.

You have no power to do anything because you are not elected to any position of power to do anything about illegals. Power resides in the hands of Obama/Holder/Reid and that hack Obama just appointed as head of Homeland Security. That dude just declared “illegals deserve legal status”.

Moral of the story is you and me are irrelevant. Just save your $50. You might need it when the financial collapse engineered by Bernanke is coming.

Hillary might send you invitation to her inaugural ball!
Which candidate are you donating money to in 2016? At this point my money goes to either Cruz/Rand/Trump. Trump is unpredicatble conservative but one of the few who has the Kaunas's to shake up Washington DC.

Now that Christie’s been thrown over the bridge, Rand’s regained his place as No 1 Repub 2016 candidate——he’s laboring to stay top dog.

The biggest group pushing amnesty for 40 million illegal Mexican Nationals is the Chamber of Communist who have bought Boner, Canter, Ryan, McCain and Gramnesty and are in their back pockets!

Any wonder why the Chamber of Communist have declared war on the Tea Party!

It is time to take this fight to them. I will never vote for another RINO Republican under any circumstance and I simply do not care if the RINO’s do not take back the Senate because the RINO’s would simply go along to get along and nothing would change anyway.

Liberal Socialist = RINO Republicans!
