The Associated Press reported today that 28 percent of households that receive food stamps are headed by someone who has at least "some" college experience. In 1980, this figure was eight percent.

Sure, scam the government out of grants and financial aid for a “collitch” major that won’t get you a decent job, then apply for food stamps.

My guess is some of that increase is due to greatly increased cohabitation rates enabling one partner to not appear on employment roles and therefore receive benefits while the other has a regular job.
How many of these with “some college” should never have been in college in the first place. Most of these were likely Affirmative Action “scholars” who got a free ride to university simply because of the color of their skin.
Back in the ‘70s I know of Affirmative action Scholars who got full scholarships to university. They never went to class, partied in their rooms, and eventually got kicked out of university.
