Very heavily excerpted. In the parts not excerpted Robinson throws in every argument made by the more extremist believers including one by scientist Steven Sherwood of the University of New South Wales in Australia who calculates that average global temperatures will rise a full 7 degrees by the end of the century.

And, of course, Robinson concludes that Glorious Dear Leader Obama should step outside the constitution and use his executive powers to prevent this calamity by reducing emissions and preparing citizens for confronting the environmental, political and military hazards of this Brave New World.

Freeper preacher said it best in a post the other day:

Two Rules About Global Warming

1 - Record Setting Cold Temperatures: Snow or ice does not disprove the existence of Global Warming. They are just anecdotal evidence of a temporary condition and cannot be regarded as valid indicators.

2 - Record Setting Warm Temperatures: Drought, rain, storms, melting ice, or other unusual conditions are undeniable empirical evidence that man caused Global Warming is destroying the planet, and maybe even the entire galaxy.

can be taken seriously only by those with a toddler’s limited conception of time and space. They forget that it’s winter, and apparently they don’t quite grasp that even when it’s cold in one part of the world, it can be hot in another.

So that explains, then, why the boat carrying the documentary-film-makers who were making a film about the ice melting were in Antartica (at the peak of summer there) and STILL managed to get stuck in the ice as it froze in around them.

Thank goodness the Russians sent the ice breaker.

Oh, cold snap! It was also frozen in.

What? Oh wait, now this changes everything. I've seen the light.

Ok, that’s enough.

I’ll match my Oxford doctorate with your journalism marshmallow slime-mold degree anyday.

Bring it on...but be prepared to use something you journalists only dream about...real math linked to real physics.

I’m waiting, Obamaholes.

What are Eugene Robinson’s credentials for being an expert on climate change? He is only parroting what he has heard or read from the climate extremists. I don’t think he has ever had an original thought.

F this lying Rat bastard.

The author should look at that giant thermonuclar gas cloud in the sky that belches fire that would greatly eclipse the entire Earth.

Man’s contributions to the “climate change” is laughable. Let alone the premise that we can suddenly make it “better” (by making it go cooler rather than warmer and then not overcompensating and then and then...).

It’s about setting up a bit-coin like tax credit scheme for Al Gore and other connencted money handlers to skim Western wealth as it is transferred to the third world (who we are told don’t consume or pollute as much because we are evil capitalists).

Gees it is snowing here in East Central Mississippi! I figured my new puppies would be at least curious. But No. They have no interest catching snow flakes or romping in the snow. It is a warm couch for them! I don’t blame them one bit.

The rallying cry of the denialists — “It’s really cold outside, so global warming must be a crock!”

Straw man. I know no “denialist” that studies the issue that says that.

It’s all about selfishness. Robinson touts the line that helps he and his family to most booty. Buy in to GW means more pockets to pick and that’s the fuel that drives the liberal engine...full pockets...of others.

The mindset of the people that believe in this crap, AGW, can be summed up with this metaphor/analogy.

“Sudden Acceleration Syndrome”

They are soo convinced that their foot is on the brake, but the car keeps moving forward and even faster. Being soo certain they are doing the right thing they push the brake even harder. All the while they are actually pressing the gas. In the end, they still don’t accept their role and blame the car.

We have no choice but to believe this guy. After all he almost has the science background that Al Gore does. He has a degree in Journalism.

The largest contributor to greenhouse gasses is water vapor yet we are supposed to believe that CO2, measured in parts per million, is the driving factor. That is like attaching a VW to a 40,000 ton train and claiming that the VW is actually the significant factor in determining the speed of the train.

So, a heat wave in Australia counts, but massive cold in the northern hemisphere doesn’t? How convenient.
