It should start as soon as the GOP-e response is over.

this is the first/second SOTU where the President had nothing to brag about, regarding any accomplishments/improvements,whereas Reagan could speak of economic conditions of 1980 and comparing it to 1984/85.

Wow, that GOP-e thing was 1 gigantic platitude.

Establishment re-run.

They’ve been saying the same thing, essentially, for decades.

I think Mr. Lee will perhaps say something more noteworthy.

I’m tuned in to that youtube...

I like Mike Lee but this was NOT the response we needed. I know he’s not an elected official but someone should have hired Bill Whittle as a ghost writer. Too many facts too little passion.

The speech was great; I caught it on youtube (the version I found however needs edited down, LOTS of white space). Second to that, it was better to LISTEN to. He spoke WAY too much with his hands (tossing his hand-s- around the screen like he was trying to “DRIVE” his point home when his words and message we’re enough).
Great message however, he did well.

What a shame. What a joke. utube is the only outlet available for the speech? Not even on the teaparty.org site.

Amateurish media application. Can’t even get the message out in these times?

Where is the Lee speech?

Here’s the transcript for Mike Lee’s speech:

“..I’d like to speak especially to those Americans who may feel they have been forgotten by BOTH political parties..”
snip

It is important to note, however, that had the founding generation stopped at just protesting against the kind of government Americans did not want, the Boston Tea Party would have been little more than a footnote in history. At most, it would have been remembered as just one more futile protest against an abusive national government.

Fortunately for all of us, those early patriots moved on from Boston and moved past their protest against the government they didn’t want. They marched forward on a road toward the kind of government they did want. ..”

Mike Lee NAILED IT with that speech!

Well, he said a lot of good things that I agree with. The Rubio/Cornyn kudos I could have skipped. But he and anyone that wants to ‘move forward’ has to get over the pie in the sky idea that we are one people who can work together. We are not and cannot.

That’s the mental hurdle that has to be surmounted. The moderates help the dems and the dems hate America. The facts on the ground show this to be the case. There is no ‘coming together’ with the enemy. You ‘defeat’ the enemy. You make the enemy live by your rules. And those rules are enshrined in the BOR and Constitution.

There’s the blueprint. There are mo miracles that make libs see the light. They won’t. They deny it. And after years of trying, it should be obvious to all that they are doing everything in their power to NOT come together.

It is past time to stop trying and to start dealing with reality as it is. Not as we want it to be. And to do that, we should end any and all support for the RINO wing that has allowed this fiasco to get to where it is now.

From Lee’s follow-up:
“It is important to note, however, that had the founding generation stopped at just protesting against the kind of government Americans did not want...”

Not sure what his meaning here is. If he wants us to keep protesting to bring change to DC and HOPE that this CHANGE will trickle down to the rest of America.

OR, time to man up and start smelling some burning powder and blood.

Personally, I believe elections will never fix what is broke. There are too many takers and not enough producers left.

The weeds in America need to be mowed to bring the balance back

Google owned Youtube took down that video with the excuse “it is too long”
