The son of Colorado Sen. Mark Udall was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of breaking into cars and possessing heroin, according to a local news report.
According to authorities cited by the Boulder, Colo., newspaper The Daily Camera, 26-year-old Jed Udall allegedly broke into three cars. He was found with heroin in his pocket, a local sheriff told the paper. He was booked into jail and later released.
Mark Udall, a Democrat, is up for reelection this year. Republicans hope to find a competitive challenger among the several entrants in the primary field, but, so far, Udall appears to be in a strong position.
Maggie and I are deeply distressed to learn of our sons arrest, the senator said in a statement. We love our son and stand with him in his commitment to getting the treatment he needs. We appreciate the private space to deal with this as a family.
Well at least he is still on his parents health care.
Ping!
Obviously a resume enhancer.
He’s dang lucky he didn’t get shot in Eldo.
What do they expect of the youth in the doper state? Does it matter if they steal buy heroin or if they do it to buy pot, either way the voters approved it.
Time for Mark to resign to “spend more time with my family.”
They can’t control their kids but they’ll control every aspect of our lives.
“And he can’t even run his own life, I’ll be damned if he’ll run mine.”
Surprising.....politico put Democrat in the article.
Ugly lil bastid.
Someone should quick ask the senator what he thinks of Colorado’s marijuana laws.
And he cant even run his own life, Ill be damned if hell run mine.

Gonna lay around the shanty, momma, and put a good buzz on.
In 20 years he’ll probably be Governor of Colorado. This state has become a disgrace
Having said that, there's no way Ken Buck is going to beat him. Weld County Sheriff John Cooke is going to run for State Senate, I say go for the big time.
Obviously time to legalize heroin.
I’m sure his trying to warn the public (well before Snowden) about how the NSA has been violating the Constitution like it was a drunk prom date had absolutely nothing to do with this. Because it’s not like the feds have shared that illegally obtained intel with local and state law enforcement. Oh, wait.... they have been doing that. I’m sure this is just a coincidence. [does this really need a sarcasm tag?]
There's a treatment to combat the addiction of breaking into other peoples' cars?
“They cant control their kids but theyll control every aspect of our lives.”
You got that right.
