The Northside of Milwaukee is a “free fire zone”. There have been 4 shooting deaths within 500 yds of my former
family home on the Northside. The “Brothers” have been calm for the past two mouths do to cold and snow. Things should pick up in the Spring once they can get their cars started!
No doubt the loser Police Chief will claim credit for the drop in crime since the start of the New Year.

northside is too broad. some parts of the northside are fine. northwest side is a problem area, it’s a weird area because some pockets are good and some pockets are not so good. there’s been some taking back of crap areas with redevelopment and they’ve not decayed again.

flynn’s soluton is to harass and intimidate law-abiding gun owners.

I used to live in one of the “good” areas of the north side. I moved after someone shot up my living room from the street.

Just found a couple photos of the bullet holes this week.

Still worried about my friends who still live in the neighborhood.

The same “news” organization is spending a lot of time reporting on the backlash to a police shooting of an armed felon who was doing multiple armed robberies.

Guess they will call this one another child injured in senseless gun violence.

"pockets"

Some years ago I went with a friend of mine and his wife to Summerfest. We stayed at her cousin's home in the Sherwood district. As soon as we entered her house, she rushed, and I mean rushed, to lock the door. Every time we exited or entered the house, she made sure to securely lock the door. It didn't give me a good feeling about the neighborhood, even though the houses were all nice and kept up.
