No wood for you.. Maryland ping.
To: dynachrome
Wood is all I use to heat my house, and wood is what I will continue to use for heating. I’ve got enough wood cut and stacked to last me for the next twenty years, if need be.

Forbes and Larry Bell just seem to have screwed up and got their facts wrong, making themselves and all conservatives look bad.
At bottom, Forbes is MSM.

after EPA enacted its new stove rules Can you point to those? I searched and only found proposed rules.

There are states that ban wood burning including fireplaces. Do you know why?

This is about proposed regulations on new wood stoves. This doesn’t have anything to do with existing stoves.
To: palmer
"Existing wood stoves are not covered." Not yet.
I'm saddened that a FReeper, especially a '99er, is buckling under to the EPA sticking it's nose in people's business.
Shame on you.
To: pallis
I’ve got a couple years of wood stacked, but otherwise I’m the same as you, it’s my primary heat. Fortunately the EPA is not banning wood stoves contrary to the article, but proposing banning the manufacture of stoves without cleaning devices. That’s bad for ordinary people of course, but it is also in flux.

I'm saddened that a FReeper, especially a '99er, is buckling under to the EPA sticking it's nose in people's business. On the contrary, they are not and I am not. I pointed out that the EPA is proposing these regulations for new stoves and there is a comment period currently underway. However it seems that Forbes would rather ignore those facts and stir up the rabble instead.
Which is more productive in your opinion, ranting "come and take it" on the internet against no actual or proposed regulation. Or commenting and criticizing the new rules?

Either globull warming or pollution in winter time. Denver, colorado and other cities have such pollution bans.
