As head of the Republican Governors Association, Gov. Chris Christie is expected to be out of state fundraising quite a bit. But he did not expect the current storm clouds to follow him from New Jersey to Texas where he is today.
While fundraising for the RGA in Dallas and Fort Worth, the Texas Democratic Party Chair Gilberto Hinojosa will be shadowing Christie. More interesting is who will not be present both Texas Gov. Rick Perry and leading GOP gubernatorial candidate Greg Abbott, the Dallas Morning News reports.
Governors come to our state regularly for a variety of reasons and were pleased to have them here, a spokeswoman for Gov. Perry told the Dallas Morning News. An aide for Abbott told the newspaper the candidate will be in Houston as part of a statewide series of appearances on immigration.
During his visit to Florida last month, the states GOP Gov. Rick Scott joined Christie at private fundraisers, but did not appear with him publicly.

Christie signed their Amnesty bill and this is the thanks he gets from the democrats?
Get thee behind me Christy? HaHaHa
Good.
Dead fat boi waddling.
Gov of NJ in town = Who cares.
Gov of WI in town = Find out where he is, thank him for doing a good job, wish him luck, and try to get picture with him shaking his hand.
Letterman was talking about it last night in one of his painful to watch monologues.
It’s 2 weeks old and letterman is joking that Christie shut down the GW Bridge. Aside from it being false, it was old.
If Letterman fired all of his writers and hired Jodi Miller from Newsbusters, he could get about 7-10 years of funny material before he keeled over.
I bet the Dem myrmadons are simply tinkling down their leg with excitement. They really do believe they are the ‘king maker’ and have destroyed any chance of Christie obtaining higher office. Little do they realize that Don Christie wouldn’t play well in fly-over country.
That's been my contention all along -- Christie was neither nominable nor electable in 2016. At best Christie had a shot at being the New Joe Biden. (Today's Quinnipiac poll has both Ryan and Paul besting Clinton -- in Colorado. Bad news for Clinton. NOW what do the 'rats do???)
