the logic is unassailable. I’m baffled why people aren’t giving the benefit of the doubt to someone who is subject to such a flimsy accusation.

Too many men have ended up in jail because of the lies of a vengeful ex-wife. Accusing one’s husband of assault or child-molesting is the easiest thing in the world, and coaching a child to lie is the second-easiest. I dislike Woody Allen and I have never enjoyed his movies or thought he is the genius others call him, but Allen lives in a nation where we are supposed to assume that an accused person is innocent until proven guilty beyond reasonable doubt. There is no medical evidence that this girl was molested. That being the case, her accusations are without merit and the case is not proven.

I don’t understand why Freepers, who are supposed to believe in the rule of law, are so quick to assume that there is truth to these accusations.
