The Obama administration insisted that the Benghazi attacks that killed four Americans erupted from a protest over an anti-Muslim video because any hint of organized terrorism would have debunked President Barack Obama's assertions that his Mideast policy was working, Sen. Jim Inhofe said on Saturday.
"They were pushing the video thing because it was just a matter of days before that he had made the American people think that his Middle East policy had stopped all terrorist activity," the Oklahoma Republican told Jeanine Pirro on her Fox News program. "This was a couple of months before the election.
"Obviously, with an organized terrorist attack, it just diffused the message that he was trying to send," Inhofe added. "That was their motivation. It couldn't be anything else."

You raise a good point, but I’m torn here. Our own government has repeatedly used the IRS to literally punish us. While that didn’t result in any dead bodies for the regime to cover up, it is still the road to tyranny. And if you want to see dead bodies, wait until the government has complete control.

The worst of all cover-ups was the murder of JFK. And the Benghazi cover-up is being doen for the same reason ... someone finally realized what really happened and and said, ‘Oh crap, the government is arming our terrorist enemies, we can’t let that be known ‘cause we wouldn’t win another election for twenty-five years!’
I agree with you. In terms of a coverup alone Benghazi may be worse but as far as sheer brazen lawlessness, which was primarily directed towards a friendly neighboring nation, Fast and Furious tops the charts.
Given the lack of distinction between the Democrat and Republican parties, I have to wonder if this would truly be that devastating to the FedGov/PTB.

Maybe he is America's comeuppance. Americans went for the sexual revolution and everything that came with it (abortion, children born out of wedlock, homosexuality). Maybe his presidency is the ultimate result of all of this.
