Last month American Amanda Knox and her ex-boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito were re-convicted of the murder of 21-year-old Meredith who was knifed to death in October 2007
He is the only one currently behind bars for the murder of British student Meredith Kercher – but jail is turning into an education for knifeman Rudy Guede.
The 27-year-old has secretly been given permission to leave his cell on the sex offenders’ wing of a top security Italian jail – so he can pursue his studies for a history degree.
But the fact that he is now able to enjoy day release to visit his tutor in a nearby town has provoked outrage.
One friend of Meredith’s family said: “Rudy Guede being allowed out of prison to study like this is a sick joke.
"Poor Meredith was in Perugia to study at university and this man was convicted of killing her.
“She is dead and here he is now studying history and could even go to the same university.”

Guede was tried separately in 2008 and received a 30-year sentence, later reduced to 16 years on appeal.
His DNA was found on Meredith’s body.
Guede’s lawyer Walter Biscotti confirmed that the killer was entitled to partial freedom.
Asked whether he was aware of the furious reaction to the news, he shrugged: “If the English and Meredith’s family are upset about this I don’t know what to say… it’s the law.”

Amanda and her Italian boyfriend were busy making like bunnies. I don’t think they had much time or inclination to mess around with Rudy.
We now know the truth behind why he's receiving these bennies. He did exactly what he was told to do as the pitchfork and torches crowd went after the American foreigner -- Magnini being such an upstanding citizen and all....

(2)IMNVHO, Amanda and Rafe ain't tellin' all they know, or all they did or did not do.
This was a bad bust, too. Town Cops of Perugia, (Mayberry PD type of operation) oughta be ashamed of themselves. Amanda and Rafe were not read their rights. Statements were taken without a lawyer present. They didn't get Amanda a translator. She didn't get her phone call. On and on, including a couple of raps up the side of Amanda's head. No matter what she did or didn't do, she would have walked anywhere in America, too. Difference is in America, the DA's office might have turned down the case!
Amanda did a little hard time, OK? But no way she'd lose an appeal on those grounds, either here or there. But OTOH, she's damn lucky they didn't treat her as an out-and-out nut case, based on her entirely bizarre behavior. Had they done so, she would have been committed to a Fellini-esque loony bin way TF out in the picturesque Umbrian countryside.
Yeah; the Krazy Kerchers (as I’ve begun to call them) are busy making sure that Amanda and her former boyfriend are facing their (irrational) wrath.
Well you see they left Rudy’s cr*p there because they were trying to frame the bar owner for the crime — ohhh wait a minute — uhhh never mind.
I was never sure that most of the alleged behavior wasn’t law enforcement and media exaggerations.
Yep the Krazy Kerchers have descended to the level of the Trayvonistas of this case.
They cannot accept that a black man could be singlehandedly capable of taking someone’s life and they want more than just one pound of flesh — they want three pounds.
And if it weren’t for the money they are still raising for their accusations on their website and planted stories in the media, the killer of Miss Kerchner would still be in prison serving his time instead of out laughing at the justice system.
Italians dont hate Americans. I spent December in Modena and Milan, and every single Italian I met went out of their way to talk when they foundnout I was American. The two technicians that just came to the UK to work with us this year both arrived after the Kerchner ruling, one thinks Knox was skmply lucky that Italian law allows one to have their foriegn passport back duri g appeal and one is indifferent to the case. It wasnt a witchhunt, the three little darlings killed Meridith.
I never said they did. However, any American who has spent time in Europe will know that the profound western European attitude toward us is not hate, but envy masquerading as moral superiority.
The local government in Perugia has a vested interest in making this appear as a foreigner on foreigner crime, rather than accept the fact that some third-world scum they openly welcomed to their country committed this murder.

She was let out of prison by another court. That's not luck. Of course, Italian law allowed her to leave the country right after the murder, and her relatives urged her to do so, but she chose to stay so she could help the police find the person who murdered her roommate. Yeah, those are the actions of a guilty person. Right. In the meantime, Rudy Guede left the country for Germany. Seems Rudy has a history of using knives to have his way with other people. Amanda Knox, not so much.

Usually, someone is required to have evidence before making such a statement. But like the prosecutor, that fact doesn't seem to carry much importance to you. I'm sure your fact free understanding of the case makes it much easier to live in your current location, but that's about all it does. You need to learn more about Magnini and his many witch hunts. Once you understand him, you will understand why Knox didn't kill Kercher. You will also understand why she's being blamed. Constantly changing the motive, while defending the evidence gathering of the local Keystone Cops, makes Magnini the problem. Guede murdered Kercher and he admitted doing so by himself......until the local authorities got a hold of him. Now he's being rewarded.
Some of that for sure, but they got Amanda on video doing cartwheels in the police station. More here ... or less .... than is ever gonna meet the eye.
