That’s from the conservative perspective.
Boehner is a Republican, remember; that’s one branch of the Uniparty.
Currently, the obsolete RINO Wing of the Republican Party has control of the policy decisions made by the Republican National Committee (RNC).
The RNC has been recently misled to foolishly believe that becoming more like the Liberal Democrats will increase the number of Liberals that will vote for Republican Candidates.
Because of the sincere joy that the RINO Wing experiences each time that they lose to a Democrat, and especially to a Liberal Democrat, the RINO Wing has been lured by the RNC to become Democrat-Lite.
In summary, you are correct, there is a Uni-Party, and in years past there were many, many times when “there is not a dimes worth of difference between the two parties.” to quote the Late Gov. George Wallace.
