But I remember coming out of the library and seeing a tow truck hooked up to my orange 1971 Opel GT.

Had a blue '70 Opel GT. Bought it new, had it for 35 years.

1.9 liter engine. Flip over headlights (that was the bomb), tight steering, a very low ride, big speakers in the back “seat”. I called mine a German Corvette.
