Another Ranking, Another Day At Bottom [CT Death Spiral Watch]
The Hartford Courant ^ | January 30, 2014 | Rick Green

Sarah Arnett of George Mason University has come up with a “state fiscal condition index” that measures a state’s overall financial health. It isn’t pretty. Connecticut’s low ranking is due to decades of mismanagement and overspending.

Cali, Ill, and NY will get a fed bailout.
Not sure if Conn has enough electoral votes to get on the list.

Watching state and local governments die from self inflicted wounds will be the fastest growing sport of this millennium. The problem of course is that it will be like watching a house burn to the ground from inside the house.

Now if we can get Colt, Mossberg, Marlin and Ruger to leave CT, the state might experience a total collapse.

The middle class is abandoning CT in droves. I know as I was one of them. When I left, my neighbor, who had lived in CT all his life, told me he envied me and would leave in a heartbeat if his entire family didn't live there.

It won't be long before CT is made up of the super-rich in Greenwich, Darien and New Canaan, and the super-poor in Bridgeport, Hartford and New Haven.

No it is NOT a coincidence that the governments that can’t manage themselves are the ones who NEED to micromanage your self defense choices and send thugs to your door to enforce their decisions.

The Hartford Courant.
The Hartford Courant is saying the Connecticut is overspending.

The same paper that has sung the praises of an overpriced bus-way that we cannot afford.

Snort.

I'm out of here as soon as my daughter graduates high school next year. Both my parents already moved to Florida a few years ago. My brother also bought a house in Florida that he plans on moving into within a few years. There's nothing in CT but high taxes and gun grabbers.

Now if we can get Colt, Mossberg, Marlin and Ruger to leave CT, the state might experience a total collapse.

Marlin left CT for New York when FG bought them, Ruger actually makes nearly everything in AZ or NH, and even Colt appears to actually be thinking about moving South.

I too, am from CT. I sold my apartment complex when it became apparent that I was the enemy. No matter how many times I worked with renters who couldn’t make the rent, I was the villian in the end. Most of them vote like sheep, and couldn’t add 1+1 except in the richest Lib areas where they just haven’t realized that they are next on the menu.
