Sarah Arnett of George Mason University has come up with a state fiscal condition index that measures a states overall financial health. It isnt pretty. Connecticuts low ranking is due to decades of mismanagement and overspending.

Watching state and local governments die from self inflicted wounds will be the fastest growing sport of this millennium. The problem of course is that it will be like watching a house burn to the ground from inside the house.
The middle class is abandoning CT in droves. I know as I was one of them. When I left, my neighbor, who had lived in CT all his life, told me he envied me and would leave in a heartbeat if his entire family didn't live there.
It won't be long before CT is made up of the super-rich in Greenwich, Darien and New Canaan, and the super-poor in Bridgeport, Hartford and New Haven.
No it is NOT a coincidence that the governments that can’t manage themselves are the ones who NEED to micromanage your self defense choices and send thugs to your door to enforce their decisions.

I too, am from CT. I sold my apartment complex when it became apparent that I was the enemy. No matter how many times I worked with renters who couldn’t make the rent, I was the villian in the end. Most of them vote like sheep, and couldn’t add 1+1 except in the richest Lib areas where they just haven’t realized that they are next on the menu.
