It represents, at the best, a theological fallacy that looks suspiciously like it was invented to justify race-based slavery.
Clearing up the fallacy isn’t helped by an actual black America which is bent on carrying on a pity party. Even Jim Crow wasn’t able to bring the black man down as much as modern liberal bribes do.

That being said, I think it is very wrong to equate today’s standards in anyway with those of 50+ years ago.
