SPRINGFIELD—The daughter of the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, President Barack Obama’s former minister, was convicted by a federal jury Friday of laundering thousands of dollars from a $1.25 million state grant for a Chicago-based job-training program.
Jeri Wright said she would "definitely" appeal the verdict in U.S. District Court, which found her guilty of 11 counts that included money laundering, lying to federal agents and lying to a grand jury.
"I didn't do anything," Wright, 48, of Hazel Crest, said as she left the Springfield courtroom.

All she has to do is keep it tied up in appeals until obama’s last day in office then he will pardon her. If there is a last day in office. Either way, she’ll get a pardon.
She is one of holder’s people.

Maybe Obama can intervene? Presidential pardon? A phone call to some IL buddies? Who knows, this is Chicago style politics on a national stage. Pretty soon we’ll be using the IRS to intimidate opposition, or we’ll hire all our crony friends into unofficial positions, we’ll use the DOJ to go after whistle blowers, or we’ll use executive orders to over-ride Congress, selectively enforce what laws we like and ignore those we don’t... wait a sec, this all sounds vaguely familiar.
Nobody who is found guilty has ever done anything wrong.
