I’m 62 years old and have refrined from pot my entire life because it has been illegal. I fear if they legalize, I’ll spend my waning years as a stoner.
I doubt that, unless you’re an extremely addictive personality.

1 Corinthians 13 13 No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.
This has to be sarcasm. For one thing pot hasn’t been illegal across the board for 62 years, only about 48, much less if you were willing to live in Alaska.
