MOSCOW, March 19, 3:00 /ITAR-TASS/. Not a single Ukrainian specialized school will be closed down in Sevastopol. This is what European values signify, Dmitry Belik, acting head of the city administration, told Channel One in a live broadcast early Wednesday.
"A clear-cut task has been set in this respect now. We shall not close down any specialsized Ukrainian schools," he said. "Thereby, we set an example to those persons who would give their eye-teeth for being in Europe. We show basic values".
"Our President clearly said that there must be three state languages in Crimea and Sevastopol. This is normal. This is democratic," Belik pointed out.
Transnistria is another Moscow-run satrapy that also has three official languages.
Nice touch in this Kabuki play.
They won’t close the schools.
You won’t be able to enter, and you’ll be shot if you try, but it won’t be closed.
You’ll just need permission from the Kremlin to enroll. And the books will be missing.
Probably.
“If you like your school, you can keep your school. Period.”
“Jews live very well in Theresienstadt. They can go to plays, play sports, eat well, they even have a synagogue.”
