Oklahoma Adds New Drugs to Lethal-Injection Protocol
NBC News ^ | March 25, 2014 | NBC News

"Lawyers for two men on death row in Oklahoma say the state has informed them it has a new execution protocol that would allow it to choose from any of five lethal injections.

The change comes days after the state revealed that it had been unable to obtain the chemicals for its existing protocol: pentobarbital and vecuronium — prompting a court to delay the executions of convicted murderers Charles Warner and Clayton Lockett for a month.

In the revised protocol given to the men's defense team, prison officials outline five possible one-drug and three-drug injections it could use to kill an inmate."

This is an interesting twist. Think Jodi Arias will be able to choose when the time comes for her in Arizona; Arizona should adopt this to give the wench one last choice in her sorry waste of a life.

That would please the Greenies and likely end up lowering the bills. If they solar powered the death house it would likely end up saving a lot of cash in the long run.

I like the way you think.

How about 100cc of Morphine? They can’t very well claim opiates are cruel and unusual when half the guys in the big house are there because they were so desperate to get them they were willing to commit crimes to do so. And it’s cheap and available from a million places.

Why the superfluous energy conversion?

Have you ever seen (and smelt) what solar power can do to an ant, no photovoltaics needed?

I find it so stupid that we put millions of people a year under anesthesia for surgery and we cannot do it here and then administer a narcotic hotshot or simply an air bubble.
