They just now changed it to note he is a Dem. Several on the paper’s Facebook link commented on it not being there.

“Charlotte Mayor Patrick Cannon, a Democrat, was arrested Wednesday on federal public corruption laws after a four-year investigation, the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Charlotte announced.”

WPTF 680 in Raleigh studiously avoided mentioning his party affiliation. They undoubtedly do not want to offend their new advertiser, MoveOn.org.

WPTF used to be a pretty good station, but even since Limbaugh moved they have been slowly drifting to the left.
