Even when Kansas City was a segregated town, Arthur Bryant's was an integrated restaurant because Arthur couldn't keep the white folks away. Eating at Arthur Bryant's should not only be an integrated experience, it should be treated as something akin to a religious experience. Arthur Bryant's barbecue was that good.

Those areas thrived before the predators took over. Bryants, Strouds, BB’s BBQ, with all the great places with wonderful jazz and blues.
Who want to go there now when they take over even the Plaza?

So true! Jazz and good BBQ brought the races together.
