The moment I read the original story, I knew it was most likely a hate crime. I found it hard to believe that five to ten unrelated men were so ‘overcome with grief at the little boy’s injuries’ that they would go into a cruel and bloody frenzy. The actual parents, maybe, even though that would also be wrong. The child probably sees adults in that area jaywalking every single day without a care. What surprised me was to read that this man, the beating victim is a Tree Trimmer who does not have any health insurance. I would have thought anyone in such a risky profession would do that, but I guess he though himself to be invincible.
Probably cannot afford health insurance.
The perps also took the opportunity to loot the man’s truck and steal his wallet which contained considerable cash. “Grief” takes many forms.
