Why would anyone want to exploit holes in XP at this point. Not enough machines to bother with. It’s one of the reasons you didn’t hear about Mac viruses for so long. :-P

How about better than a quarter of the internet.

As soon as those installations begin to ferment, Microsoft will be telling “I told you so” to a tornado.

There are a lot of machines that still run XP. I’ve seen some estimates as high as 27% of all computers running Windows. Also, there are a lot of ATMs that run on XP. Until these get moved over to a new platform, the end-of-life for XP could spell trouble.

Why not? 90+% of the world's ATM's are XP based.

Big Banks; Chase, BofA, etc. have signed exclusive contracts with Microsoft to support THEIR XP needs for at least another year.
