Exclusive - Sen. Sessions Comes Out Swinging Against Secretive House Immigration Push

Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL), the ranking member of the Senate Budget Committee and arguably the leading intellectual force against amnesty in Congress, is coming out hard against a proposal backed by Majority Leader Eric Cantor to grant amnesty to illegal alien DREAMers who enlist in the military.

“We are now in a period of very large troop reductions. The last thing this nation should be doing is to provide those few slots to persons who illegally entered the United States or who overstayed their visas while denying young Americans the ability to serve their country,” Sessions said in a written statement provided exclusively to Breitbart News.

Sessions’ opposition is a major blow to the push – led in the House by sophomore Republican Rep. Jeff Denham of California – to grant permanent legal residency to illegal aliens who entered under the country under the age of 15 – the so-called “DREAMers” named after the “DREAM Act” that would grant amnesty to the entire class of young immigrants.

The new opposition comes just after Cantor officially backed the policy for the first time in a statement to Breitbart News published Monday. Cantor also made a “pledge” to Denham to help him push the measure through, according to Rep. Buck McKeon, the powerful chairman of the House Armed Services Committee.

Sessions said the new policy would provide a new incentive for individuals in foreign nations to illegally immigrate to the U.S. and sends a message that the nation's immigration laws won't be enforced.

Senator Jeff Sessions seems to be having fun with it, as he nears the end of his career. Another point, why should we take the risk of bringing in non-citizens into the US military, which would be quite tempting to illegals who want to do us harm.

I wonder. With the nonsense already in effect, would the Tsarnovs have been eligible to enlist in the US military?

Bless Sen Sessions! He’s the lone voice sounding the clarion. (Most) All other Reps appear to be bought and paid for by the amnesty gang.

We all owe the people of Alabama a thanks for having the wisdom to elect this great man. Can’t say the same about my own state which lately has elected nothing but commies.

This Denham amendment is the ultimate trojan horse. Mickey Kaus at Daily Caller points out if this gets tucked into the defense bill and passes it goes to the Senate. The Senate can take what is suppose to be a limited amendment and expand it so the whole Rubio-Schumer debacle is now part of the Defense bill. The Open Borders can then say the GOP members who oppose amnesty are holding up the Defense Appropriation bill risking the lives of the troops and lots of pork that goes to these districts.

McCain, Grahamnesty and Rubio say we need them in the army for Iran, Syria, maybe even Ukraine liberation and democracy imposition.

They know their OWN kids sure don't want to do it.

Just what this country needs:

A number of persons from countries where we CANNOT check their backgrounds inside our military.

Could you give such possible MOLES a bigger red carpet?

How many Fort Hood people have to die before someone gets the message???

It’s amazing how determined some Republicans are to help Democrats with their ballot stuffing scheme.
