Seems to me if you are a duplicitous conniving backstabbing malcontent who doesn’t really want to work or break a sweat, Journalism is the sinecure.
Where else could someone like Stephen Glass at New Republic, or Jayson Blair at the NYT create stories out of thin air for years and not get caught?
Where else could one sit on their ass most of the day save to check the Reuters or AP feed in the early morning and create their rote pablum lies for the rest of the day?
Where else could one create a pack of lies and source it with that catchall phrase “some say, or polls say?”
I have come to believe that journalism attracts some the most ignorant and uneducated people.
