Last year, Magic Johnson found out that he had the virus that causes AIDS in his body...

Of all the turmoil that drove Johnson back out of basketball, it is the grievous lawsuit in Michigan filed by a woman called only Jane Doe that threatens most to damage the reputation of the man who has probably become the athlete most famous -- and most beloved -- in all the world.
Newsweek has obtained a copy of the poignant letter that the woman claims she wrote to Johnson on Aug.29, 1991, which accuses Johnson of infecting her.
The letter is dated eight weeks before a life-insurance test revealed that he had contracted the virus and only two weeks before he went ahead and married his longtime sweetheart, Cookie.

So, how does Magic claims to have been infected?
If it was from sex with an infected woman, it would be the first medically-verified case of such transmission in the US.
At the time this originally ‘erupted’, I remember the stories of his trysts. He was not gay but he had a penchant for butt sex, which is the way gays infect each other. Lots of blood exchanged in this position.

Bravo Sierra, I can think of dozens of athletes who were better people and also were good at what they did.

Not even the CDC has ALL records at their disposal to make such a comment and in fact they already know it is false. Way back in the early nineties when I was hawking a new med for treating HIV victims, a CDC consulting Doc told me there was a well documented study of military personnel who contracted HIV from German prostitutes and the vector was through pubic hair follicles. That has never been reported in the media shillery. So how can you make such an assertion so glibly?

And when I say “medically confirmed” I mean that the man and the woman are both tested to verify that it is in fat the same strain, as some health departments do, or used to do. “I got it from a doorknob” claims are not considered confirmations.
And if you want your head to explode, consider that it takes about 500-100 unprotectd acts of vaginal sex with an infected man for a woman to seroconvert. (Anal is a VERY different matter, and MUCH more dangerous). http://fumento.com/aids/pozaids.html

After Magic Johnson "came out" with the news of his infection, the Michael Jackson rumors seemed to have disappeared. I've always wondered why...
It's interesting that it has never been announced how Magic Johnson contracted AIDS. I know that there those who claim that a man can catch AIDS from a woman, there has been very little evidence to document this.
If Magic did get it from woman, who was she? Why does he protect "her?"

Also, men who frequent prostitutes often have open sores from other STDs, and they are quite vulnerable to AIDS infection.
My efforts to google your study found nothing. Please let me know where I might find it.
Also, ask yourself why AIDS is essentially unknown among prostitutes who don’t share needles or receive unprotected anal sex.

I know Magic denies being gay but I have a hard time believing it. He has admitted to being a sexual freak who was involved in orgies and group sex. It doesn’t take a stretch of the imagination to think that Magic reached out in the dark and grabbed on to a man instead of a woman. He went from a porker to a porky in an instant.
