LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Annual May Day marches are scheduled to take place Thursday in downtown Los Angeles.

The demonstrations are a show of support for immigrants who aren’t in the United States legally.

Marchers plan to urge Congress to pass legislation overhauling the immigration system by putting an end to deportations that divide families.

The event typically causes a major traffic tie-up throughout downtown.

The march itself will begin at 10 a.m. starting at the Chinatown Gateway, winding through the downtown area and ending at the Metropolitan Detention Center at 535 N. Alameda St., where a rally will be held.

Multiple streets will be closed in the area — including Broadway between roughly 11th and Temple streets and Hill and Spring streets between Olympic and First Street, according to the LAPD.

Police advise drivers to avoid the area.

The bad guys demand amnesty.

The Communists want amnesty. The Democrats want amnesty. The Republican leadership wants amnesty.

Triple redundancy there.

I remember May Day in the mid 1950s.
The Zengakuran Students Federation, a communist front group in Yokohama, turned over and set fire to my dad’s Packard...

I would have expected the "dreamers" to choose that great American holiday, Cinco de Mayo, for their "today we march" march.

They worry about deportations that divide families? Then deport the whole family~!

THIS is why The Constitution does NOT say "Anyone born in the USA is a citizen" - it pointedly says "Anyone born in the USA and under the laws and jurisdictions of, is a citizen.

An illegal alien is NOT giving birth under the laws.

Where is Harry Reid to denounce these "domestic terrorist" Communist agents who seek to clog the system on a business day? This is no private property protest.
