... Our security forces are fighting mercenaries of foreign states, terrorists and criminals, Turchynov said in a statement.
One of the downed helicopters was hit by a surface-to-air missile, the Ukrainian Security Service said, calling it a sophisticated weapon that undercut Russias claims the city was simply under the control of armed locals. The agency said its forces were fighting highly skilled foreign military men in Slovyansk....
Ukrainian troops met fierce resistance Friday morning but managed to take control of nine checkpoints on the roads around Slovyansk, Interior Minister Arsen Avakov said. He called on the insurgents to lay down their arms and release their hostages.
We are ready to negotiate with protesters and their representatives, Avakov said. But for terrorists and armed separatists, there is only punishment....
CBS correspondent Clarissa Ward told CBS This Morning that she and her crew were stopped by pro-Russia insurgents at a checkpoint just outside Slovyansk, then taken to a nearby town where they were blindfolded tightly with masking tape. They were released several hours later, unharmed except for one man who was beaten....

Anyone who really supports liberty has to take Ukraine's side in this battle against Russian thuggery!
quote “But for terrorists and armed separatists, there is only punishment”
um... they are going to punish themselves?
so confused.
Amish.
“so confused.”
Don’t be. The terrorists and separatists are Russians. The people fighting them are Ukrainians. The country is Ukraine. It’s not hard to not be confused.
Anyone who really supports liberty has to take Ukraine’s side in this battle against Russian thuggery!

Then you know you are on the side of progress.
I watched the live stream yesterday. It was surreal. Pro-Russians protected by the police shooting. Bodies dropping in the street one after another. The unarmed Ukrainians patriots didn’t run.
Putin has a big and expensive fight on his hands if he rolls tanks against those folks.
You left out this part:

Obama = pussey !
Or , .. leading from behind,.. or behinder !
Yeah, sometimes I think that Putin has not thought this all the way through as everyone assumes he has. The Ukrainians are not going to go quietly. They can’t beat the Russians in the field by they can make things incredibly costly for them on the street. Can you imagine MILLIONS of armed, trained, and seriously pissed off and bitter Ukrainians in a guerilla war?
I assume the Russians are thinking they will come in strong and scare everyone off and mop up a handful of holdouts. I don’t think they fully realize what they’re dealing with.
Putin’s Cheerleaders hardest hit.
Thanks canuck_conservative.
Here’s clear video of the “peaceful” Pro-Russian language defenders firing on the Ukrainians with AKs yesterday. At this time they were being protected by the police.
How dare the Ukrainians bring a fire truck to a gun fight.

Let’s be clear. These were Russian nationals brought in from outside the territory of Ukraine who were firing weapons on the Ukrainians.
still confused.
I thought the terrorist were those who rioted in Kiev a month or so ago and overthrew the democratically elected government by force.
now they seem to want to use force against protestors, when I thought the use of force against protestors was what they were so mad about a month ago.
no... but I can imagine a few of the thugs which overthrew the democratically elected government laying dead in the street after the Russians tire of their tyranny.
lets be clear, there is a large ethnic Russian population in Ukraine, many of who have served in the military and who are now fighting to take back their country from the terrorists which overthrew the democratically elected government in Kiev a month or so ago.
