The Marine in the photo IS a Corporal. Two stripes and crossed rifles. A Lance Corporal has one stripe and crossed rifles.
Wait... When I was in (81-85) LCPL was one strip with rifles. CORP was 2 stripes with rifles. Has this changed?

In my ‘trust but verify’ mode, I did notice that for the most part the Son of a Marine wouldn’t be able to wear his Dad’s insignia to school....
That is shameful.....
