This is a superb opportunity for Republicans. They should go to lengths to encourage the Democrats to stay out of it.

Harry Reid insisted on unilateral control of the senate.

Obama insisted on unilateral control by executive order.

So now the Republicans can give the Democrats a taste of what unilateral control means.

They should hold incredibly hostile hearings, with no opportunity for Democrat rebuttal. They should also go to lengths to damn Democrats up one side and down the other, and to provide as much media support to the conservative media as they can.

The hearings should last all the way to election day, and bring forth testimony from every irate former government employee they can find. There should be lots of veterans testifying, along with anyone and everyone who can tear a hole in the Democrats, Obama and Hillary in particular.

Because what you say will occur to at least a couple of sane heads among the Dim nutjobs, I believe the Dems will indeed fill the five chairs given them with some of their vilest, lyin'ist, most vocal advocates, just so the "news media" will have their style of talking points broadcast as if that nonsense were clearly winning the day, every day the committee is in session and thereafter.

If they don't participate, they and their candidates will really be in for a bloodbath, come November and 2016!
