The Obama administration received clear notice more than five years ago that VA medical facilities were reporting inaccurate waiting times and experiencing scheduling failures that threatened to deny veterans timely health care problems that have turned into a growing scandal.
Veterans Affairs officials warned the Obama-Biden transition team in the weeks after the 2008 presidential election that the department shouldnt trust the wait times that its facilities were reporting.
This is not only a data integrity issue in which [Veterans Health Administration] reports unreliable performance data; it affects quality of care by delaying and potentially denying deserving veterans timely care, the officials wrote.
The briefing materials, obtained by The Washington Times through the Freedom of Information Act, make clear that the problems existed well before Mr. Obama took office, dating back at least to the Bush administration. But the materials raise questions about what actions the department took since 2009 to remedy the problems.

The list, Ping
Let me know if you would like to be on or off the ping list
Dickhead...
Active Duty/Retiree ping.
He didn’t much care about it then, either.
I knew it wasn’t his fault. It was Bush’s fault.
Dickweed?
Well... I heard he really likes the first four letters, and the last four letters.
Dickhead...
Dickweed?
Both work.
I heard one news report say that it started two years ago.......that was quickly buried. Now of course, it is BUSH’S FAULT!
People were dying in Benghazi and 0bama did nothing.
Mexican citizens by the score and Federal agents were being killed by guns the ATF was sending to Mexico and 0bama did nothing.

“The briefing materials, obtained by The Washington Times through the Freedom of Information Act, make clear that the problems existed well before Mr. Obama took office, dating back at least to the Bush administration.”
Looks like there are Democratic Operatives at the Washington Times that are attempting to place the responsibility of the VA Hospital Scandal off on George W. Bush.
Nice try, but the truth is that the VA Wait List problems begin and end with Obama.
Don’t worry Obama will not rest until he gets to the bottom of this, except of course if it conflicts with Marthas Vineyard
Another major reason for his impeachment.
The conservative response should not be defending Bush. The correct response is, “What has he done over the past 5 years to correct the problem and when will it be fixed.”
Obama has been in office 5 years and still shirks accountability. The GOP should be pounding him for poor management. Republicans should be publicly stating, “The federal government is unable to provide decent healthcare for less than 2% of the population in the VA hospitals. Based on this proven record of incompetence is insanity to believe this administration can effectively manage the healthcare of all Americans. We must repeal the ACA to avoid the needless death and suffering of millions of Americans and immediately put new management in place to fix the VA medical system.” Every GOP candidate this season should be constantly speaking these talking points.
Likes weed and head
Since so many VA deaths have occurred over such a long period of time due to Arizona VA Hospital waiting list procedures, would it be proper and honorable that former Vet, and current US Senator John McCain immediately resign from the US Senate?
If you dont earn your pay, then you cannot stay!
Of course, everything is Bush’s fault, “found” by a lib rag just in time to save nobama. These “progressives” will not ever accept any responsibility for their actions.
