“As long as this guy is in the league, I will not participate in anything NFL related. This includes eating pizza at my favorite pizza place when the NFL is on.”

I feel the same way. I’m 46 and I’ve been watching the NFL since I was about 6. There was a time (while I lived in Nevada) that I had multiple bets going every week during football season and it was to the point of an obsession.

In recent years, I’ve really started to lose interest. The character of the players in the league has deteriorated so much that I have been disgusted by it even before this happened. But I fully agree with the lady that stormed off the set on that video — why should this stuff be “pushed in our faces?” And worse, why would ESPN want to put this on national tv in front of kids of all ages that are supposed to be looking at these athletes as role models?

I’m done with the NFL and probably the rest of the major sports when they have their “coming out” parties.

I think a lot of people are starting to feel that way. It causes me to muse: Is it possible the NFL jumped the shark with this one?
