But if a white person said that they DO see color, and people are NOT all the same, everybody goes into hysterics and the white has to apologize, grovel, and/or go to sensitivity training. Whites just can’t win no matter what they do.
Frankly, I think most “people of color” respect us more when we don’t try to play this game. I just go about my business and take people on a case-by-case basis. And I don’t even try to pretend I like everyone. I don’t. I try to be polite and respectful to everyone but that’s it till I get to know them.
