Can somebody please remind me why we USA citizens are paying elected officials in Congress, and civil service employees in federal agencies, such very high salaries to NOT do their jobs?

I am going to paint with a broad brush when I say that civil servants are not occupying space for the reason of getting anything accomplished. The day they get the job is just the daily observance of the countdown clock until they get to retire.

It's not like we are paying them voluntarily. They extract money from our paychecks and laugh all the way to the bank.
It's WAY past time for a tax revolt of MAJOR proportions in this country. Civil disobedience against these bastards is the only way to fix it too.
