Good. It looks like any potential vote fraud effort won’t be worth mounting as the runoff seems inevitable now.
Rankin is a suburb of Jackson, the captal, and thus near the seat of the party establishment. If Cochran has a stronghold left, it could be rankin county. the other counties surrounding Jackson appear to have been big Cochran counties.
and it’s a big county; it could move the numbers a lot.
I’m not sure why the results have been stuck at 68% all night
One of my friends who was talking about this race lives in Rankin County. She supports Cochran as does her husband who is a local politician. They could not believe anyone would vote against Cochran.
And there are probably 8000 - 10000 votes left to count in rankin.
Rankin is coming in. McDaniel is maintaining a small lead.
