Most gun control laws were passed due to racism, to keep guns out of the hands of blacks. Most gun control laws still do that very thing, making it illegal (or too expensive) to own a gun for self-defense.
I’d think most black homeowners in the rural south to be pretty well armed. In fact, drop the word ‘black’ and it’s an even closer demographic.
