I think this dumping was absolutely the worst thing for Boehner and CantorIt's kind of like the Mariel Boat Lift. Clinton hated Carter for it because Carter dumped many of the Cuban refugees into Arkansas, and then Clinton lost his race for reelection as governor.
He got better...

FWIW, Rush’s take today was that now Boehner and Ryan think they have nothing to lose, and will forge ahead anyway. I’m not so sure.
